BROADWAY CELEBRATES

Welcome New Members
Join us in welcoming Charles and Patricia Kiker to Broadway. Sunday, March 27, Charles and Patricia made the decision to become members. They are the parents of Nancy Bean, and recently moved to Fort Worth from Tulia, Tx. We are thankful for the unique gifts and experience they bring to our growing church family. Please join us in welcoming them to Broadway!

Youth vs. Parents Kickball Tournament and Vespers at Camp Broadway
On Sunday, Broadway members and friends gathered at Camp Broadway for a time of fun, fellowship, and worship together.

The first annual kickball game between the youth and youth parents was a great success. The youth parents took home the trophy with a 13-3 win. Most importantly, the game was injury-free.

Dinner was provided by the Finance Committee and was prepared and served by our Congregational Care and Congregational Activities committees.

After dinner, we gathered at the amphitheater for a Vespers. As part of Women’s History Month, the service featured the life and hymns of Fanny J. Crosby. Thanks to Tiffany McClain and Jane Andrews for leading us in worship. The music of this beloved hymn writer was the perfect companion to the beautiful weather and views overlooking Eagle Mountain Lake.

Help Us Reach Our Contribution Goal!
The 2021-22 fiscal year for Broadway is coming to a close tomorrow, March 31. We have been blessed by your faithful giving to support the mission and ministries of Broadway.

We have an opportunity to finish the fiscal year in excellent financial position with zero on our line of credit with the bank. We ended February about $45,000 behind our contributions goal for the year. If you have already completed your pledge for 2021-22, we say thank you for your generosity and faithfulness. If you have not completed your pledge for the 2021-22 budget year, now is a great time to get caught up and help us meet our goal. You can make your contributions on the GIVE page on our website, or bring a check to the church office.

Help us reach our goal by March 31!

COMMUNITY CORNER

World Hunger Offering Received at Gori Soup Kitchen
Broadway’s World Hunger Offering collection was sent and has been received by our global missions partners at Gori Soup Kitchen, a ministry of Peace Cathedral in Tblisi, Georgia.  Please see the personal message from Bishop Malkhaz Songulashvili.

Dear Broadway,
The money for the Gori Soup Kitchen has been safely received. It came right on time when we were running out of resources. The war in Ukraine has made the lives of the poor even more miserable. Prices on everything are rising. We are getting increasingly worried about the future of people both in our country and the region.

We wish to express our love and appreciation to congregation of Broadway. We are looking forward to future missions work between Broadway and Peace Cathedral.

In gratitude,
Bishop Malkhaz Songulashvili

Cloud Covered Streets at Broadway
Broadway is pleased to welcome Cloud Covered Streets to the Community Center. This is a faith-based ministry that provides showers, laundry facilities, and haircuts to those in need. On their last visit, Cloud Covered Streets had 34 guests use their services—25 used the shower facilities, 12 used the laundry services, and 14 guests got haircuts. We are so thankful to offer these services to our guests and neighbors.

Cloud Covered Streets will be at Broadway’s Community Center on alternating Fridays from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help, especially those who are qualified to cut hair. Click here to volunteer.
