The Ridlia Bee O’Bryan Cliburn Organ was developed in conjunction with the Fort Worth arts scene as a symphonic organ capable of joining with the Fort Worth Orchestra and offered by Broadway Baptist Church as a gift to the community, both locally and beyond.
Most children will have never encountered the magic of an organ performance. An organ cannot move from place to place, so InspireArts sees as a significant part of its mission bringing children to the organ to experience its magnificence. Demonstrations of the Rildia Bee O’Bryan Cliburn Organ are informative, entertaining and thoroughly enjoyed by children and young people – of all ages. They engage the participants while providing information about construction of the organ and all the sounds that the instrument can make. The demonstration is geared to the age and maturity of the audience while presenting a variety of classical and secular music – from Stars Wars to Bach, and from flutes to alligators.
InspireArts envisions a program of events for children and students on the Broadway campus similar to the trips children take to the Nancy Lee & Perry R Bass Performance Hall to hear the Fort Worth Symphony. Several schools are scheduled to attend demonstrations beginning in the fall of 2024. InspireArts will offer curriculum to all schools but offer initial participation to schools that are deemed disadvantaged.
These programs are offered free of charge and aimed at developing today’s youth with a vision and passion for music and the arts, especially among students who are not likely to have experienced this caliber of music.
