Adult Sunday Morning Small Group Invitation
Journey Inward, Journey Outward (JIJO) is an online covenant group of 12-14 adults of all ages, stages and places. The small group is led by Katherine Godby, Cherry Langford, Nancy Bean and Royce Rose. Journey Inward, Journey Outward’s primary focus is on individual spiritual growth through scripture, literature, poetry, art, music, silence and, most profoundly, the sharing of personal life stories. JIJO also focuses on another dimension of spiritual life: social action. Leaning into the balance of these two sacred journeys and on one another is what their circle of trust is all about.

You’re invited to join this group online any Sunday beginning March 28, 2021, from 9 – 10 a.m. Central time. Contact Nancy Bean at 817.688.7431 for information on how to join.

COMMUNITY CORNER
Time Change for Agape Meal
With the start of Daylight Savings Time, we have changed the time for our weekly Agape Meal. The meal is served each Thursday from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., just outside the entrance to the Community Center. We continue to provide hot, to-go meals each week for our neighbors. Everyone is welcome. If you are interested in volunteering for the Agape Meal, contact Peter Nelson for more information.
Community Center Donations
Rangers Super-Fan and Community Center Director Dawn Shepard has helped spread the word about the essential services provided to our community. We are so thankful for all those who have answered the call and donated generously to the Community Ministries of Broadway Baptist Church.

This week, Rangers broadcaster and former player C. J. Nitkowski dropped by the center to donate athletic shoes for our Adult Clothing Room. These are such a blessing to our homeless neighbors and friends in need. Thanks be to God!

Grants Available for Members in Need
Many members of our congregation are feeling the financial effects of the COVID 19 crisis.  Some have been furloughed from their jobs, some have incurred medical expenses, while others have lost their livelihood altogether.  In an attempt to assist with the many needs arising from this crisis, funds from the Congregational Care and the pastoral care budgets are being made available for our members.

Each grant amount will be up to $500, depending on the need of the individual or family.  We are asking that members in need of assistance complete a simple grant application form.  Information from the application will be kept in strict confidence.  Our Pastoral staff will review the applications and make the grant assignments.

If you and/or your family could use some help during these uncertain times, please email Fran Patterson for an application.  Also, if you are looking for ways to help during this crisis, please contact Fran.

Keeping Connected with the Broadway Mobile App
Now more than ever having the church directory at your fingertips is a valuable tool! The Broadway mobile app offers many useful features such as:
  • Update your contact information
  • View worship services
  • Secure giving
  • Secure view of financial contributions
  • Submit a prayer request or contact the church office
  • View and register for events and more!

Church members can receive their login information by contacting Jenn Nelson. To download the app click HERE.

App Tip: “Where did my directory go?” If you’ve opened the Ministry One church app and noticed that the Directory tile is missing, this is due to the login “timing out.” When this occurs, just click on the “Profile” tile and log back in. You’ll see the Directory again.
Note: The directory feature is only available to BBC church members.
