BROADWAY VISION & MISSION

Broadway seeks to be a beacon of God’s joy and justice, Christ’s hope and reconciliation, and the Holy Spirit’s courage and healing love.

We are working to create a church and world where all people are welcome and belong in the beloved community of God. Through the ministries of worship, education, compassion and advocacy, Broadway provides a place of grace, beauty, sanctuary, inclusivity, and brave faith.

COMMUNITY CORNER

Room In the Inn Winter Session Concludes
This week, we hosted our last winter session for Room in the Inn. During January and February, Broadway hosted 76 men through this program.

Room in the Inn provides hot meals and a safe space overnight for men experiencing homelessness during the coldest and hottest months of the year.

We give thanks to the groups who hosted our guests this session:

  • Church Staff
  • Missions Committee
  • Chancel Choir
  • Crosspaths
  • Ragamuffins
  • Journey Inward, Journey Outward
  • In-Betweeners
  • Sojourners

Volunteers made beds, washed laundry, cooked and served meals, and provided a warm and welcoming space. Special thanks to those who served as Innkeepers, staying overnight with our guests.

We also give thanks for our kitchen hosts: Helen Beasley, Judy Kirby, and Suzanne Hooper. Each week, these ladies kept the kitchen and service area clean and organized. They are a blessing to our volunteers and guests.
